Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing repairs and completing preventative maintenance tasks
- Restoring vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents
- Conducting maintenance-related inspections, including building and alarm systems
- Removing snow, ice, and leaves from sidewalks, walkways, steps, and driveways/parking spaces
- Completing janitorial requirements in accordance with the janitorial schedule
- Responding to on-call emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays, resolving as circumstances warrant
Requirements
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, along with a minimum of two years of maintenance or construction experience. One year of experience as a full-charge residential maintenance technician is preferred, as well as introductory supervisory experience and above-average motivation.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations, EPA certification, and HVAC certification. You must be able to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Additionally, you will require the ability to read, speak, and comprehend the English language, proficiency in performing plumbing, electric, and machinery repair, and the ability to follow direction and work independently.
