Computer Technician
Ingersoll Cutting Tools Company is proud to be part of the IMC Group of Companies with 140 subsidiaries in 65 countries. Our US operations are housed on our state-of-the-art manufacturing and marketing campus in Rockford, Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for a Computer Technician.
Essential job duties and Responsibilities include:
- Setup/configure/deploy PCs, laptops, printers, VOIP phones.
- Troubleshoot PC hardware and software issues and perform basic repair
- Basic smartphone troubleshooting/repair
- Assist production maintenance with repair and maintenance of machine control computer systems.
- Train users on internal systems and Microsoft Office
- Provide level one help desk support
- Maintain records of hardware, licenses, and media
- Enter purchase requests
- Load/Catalog backup media.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in information technology or similar field preferred
- 2 years minimum experience in a PC Tech support Role
- PC Hardware (A Certification desired)
- Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows proficiency
- Basic networking knowledge (Hardware, Cabling, TCP/IP)
- Basic network application understanding (Active Directory, VPN, E-mail, Web, Telnet, FTP)
- AS/400 knowledge a plus
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work in a mixed industrial/office environment
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work well independently, as well as with others, in a team environment. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess a good work ethic, demonstrate reliable and punctual work habits, demonstrate safety consciousness, and always conduct themselves in a professional manner.
The salary range is $22-$24/hr.
