Packaging and Laser Marking Operator – Steel Operations (1st shift)

Ingersoll’s US operations are housed on our state-of-the-art manufacturing and marketing campus in Rockford, Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for a Packaging and Laser Marking Operator (Steel Operations).
Essential job duties and Responsibilities include:
- Set up and operator laser part marking machine.
- Mark, package and label products.
- Conduct cleaning and oiling of parts as required.
- Light assembly work.
- Request Bill of Material (BOM) as required.
- Basic use of ERP systems.
- Support/Maintain work order raw materials and BOM items.
- Conducts manual packaging as required.
- Works to applicable process protocols/procedures.
- Quality assurance and labor reporting via Windows based computer systems.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
- Work OT and weekends as required.
Skills/Qualifications:
- 1 year of manufacturing experience plus.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift 40lbs with some frequency.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows environment. - Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Intermediate math skills.
- Attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Strong work ethic and self-motivation.

Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess a good work ethic, demonstrate reliable and punctual work habits, demonstrate safety consciousness, and always conduct themselves in a professional manner.
The Salary range for this position is $18-$22/hr.
