Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working alongside skilled professionals. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs within residential/commercial settings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Duties
- Assist experienced electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively in various construction environments.
- Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and voltmeter to ensure proper functionality of electrical components.
- Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to maintain compliance during all work activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites.
Experience
- Prior experience or coursework related to residential / light commercial electrician work is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of power tools and their safe operation is essential.
- Experience working on construction sites is beneficial.
- A strong willingness to learn from experienced electricians and develop skills in the electrical trade.
