Responsibilities
- Leadership and Planning:
- Coach and supervise a team of machinists.
- Provide guidance, training, and support.
- Solve production challenges.
- Track and report metrics of productivity and quality.
- Address personnel matters and disciplinary issues.
- Communication:
- Communicate issues and successes within the Machine Shop.
- Ensure production and on-time-delivery targets are known.
- Documentation:
- Complete training logs and other required paperwork accurately.
- Document any issues, defects, or deviations from standard procedures.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date on the features and benefits of Machine Shop operations and product lines.
- Generate CNC programs and methods using Mastercam software.
