Job Overview :
Are you a skilled machinist with a passion for precision and innovation. At Ingersoll Rand, we are seeking a talented and dedicated CNC Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to be part of a company that values creativity, excellence, and collaboration.
Responsibilities :
- Performs set ups of large Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump components and operations of large Vertical & Horizontal Lathes used to repair and overhaul Large Liquid Rind Vacuum Pumps & Compressors.
- Interprets blueprints / drawings to determine critical dimensions, etc. Ability to read Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Dial Indicators & other precision measuring & test equipment as required.
- Able to maintain low tolerances as indicated by specifications or drawings as low as .0005” at times.
- Understands how to select appropriate cutting tools for various metals. Understands how to determine speeds and feeds to obtain proper surface finish.
- Able to work overtime; typically throughout the week and occasionally on weekends.
- Safe operation of Forklift within a Machine Shop environment. Safe Over Head Crane operation. Adheres to all company EH&S & QMS processes.
- Lifting and Rigging of heavy components of various configurations & weights. Assisting in the disassembly, reassembly, repair and rebuilding of Large Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
