Job Overview :
In this role as a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of production processes. The Manufacturing Engineer is tasked with designing and refining manufacturing methods to boost productivity while maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring safety protocols. They work closely with various departments, such as design, quality, and operations, to implement improvements that reduce costs and streamline workflows.
Responsibilities :
Design and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in line with Ingersoll Rand's standards.
Analyze current production methods to identify and implement improvements that reduce costs and increase productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of new processes.
Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with Ingersoll Rand's company standards and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to introduce innovative manufacturing techniques.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing processes to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production quality.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of processes, improvements, and best practices.
Train and support production staff on new and revised manufacturing processes to ensure smooth implementation.
Monitor and evaluate production performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any process deviations or quality issues.
Support the development and implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize workflows.
Participate in new product development projects to ensure manufacturability and scalability of designs.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability and quality of materials and components.
Utilize data analysis and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and achieve operational excellence.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial or Mechanical engineering.
4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering

Technical Expertise : knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies.
Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills to develop effective solutions.
Project Management : Ability to manage projects from start to finish efficiently.
Collaboration : Excellent teamwork skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Leadership : Ability to train and guide production staff.

Preferences :
Master’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial or Mechanical engineering.
Lean Six Sigma training
Demonstrated ability to continuously improve manufacturing processes
Understanding & application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
Effective oral & written communications skills. Listens fully to others giving full attention to what is being said, seeking to understand others perspective, being curious & asking questions.

Proficient in the use of the personal computer, Microsoft Office software applications, Mastercam, AutoCAD and Solidworks.
Travel & Work Arrangements / Requirements :
This position will be based in Mocksville, NC, with minimal travel
