The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The Machine Operator will also apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures.??Construct, assemble, or rebuild machines, such as blowers, pumps, boosters, and similar equipment used in such industries as transportation, manufacturing or waste water treatment.

Responsibilities
- Operate the filter pleating machine with precision and care, adhering to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Perform setup and adjustments to the machine, optimizing it for different types of jobs to maximize efficiency and minimize setup time.
- Monitor the machine during operation to detect any malfunctions or deviations in product quality, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Organize and group similar production jobs effectively to streamline the workflow and reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and machine performance using computer systems.
- Participate in routine maintenance and cleaning of the pleating machine to ensure its longevity and proper functioning.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to other team members, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
- Keep abreast of the latest technological advancements in pleating machinery and adopt best practices for continuous improvement.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and maintenance.
- Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic and algebra.
- Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
- Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment
- Solid experience operating machinery, with preference given to those with filter pleating machine experience.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to identify and solve machine-related issues promptly.
- Advanced computer skills, including the capacity to operate and manage production software systems efficiently.
- Proficiency in computer programming and/or machine programming is highly preferred, as it is beneficial for troubleshooting and optimizing machine operations.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Leadership qualities and experience in guiding and motivating a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
