As an On-Site Equipment Specialist, you'll bring your technical expertise to customers between Erie, PA, and Tonawanda, NY, ensuring that Ingersoll Rand’s equipment operates flawlessly. Your role involves expertly installing, troubleshooting, and repairing rotary screw, reciprocating, Centac, and ECC air compressors, using precision tools and a deep understanding of our products.
Essential Duties:
- Perform on-location installation, maintenance, and repair of Ingersoll Rand's equipment.
- Stay updated on our machinery’s field requirements and provide training and technical advice.
- Submit detailed reports and maintain high business integrity.
- Communicate effectively, providing concise service updates.
- Accurately manage expense accounts and timecards every week.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years’ experience with mechanical systems, with a focus on compressed air systems.
- A high school diploma is mandatory; degrees in Electrical/Electronic Technology or HVAC are beneficial.
- A clean driving record for at least one year is required.
Physical Demands:
- Work in varying conditions, handling equipment that could expose you to noise, weather, and electrical hazards.
- Regular physical activity like lifting, stooping, and kneeling is required.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel for training, approximately 5-10% of the time.
