Responsibilities
- Aligned to a specific project for the 2 – 3-month temporary assignment.
- Support safety and environmental practices
- Assist in the development of tooling, fixtures, and equipment used in assembly that optimize productivity, maintainability, and cost.
- Assist with plant layouts and suggests updates to drawings accordingly
- Construct work instruction to support assembly operators
- Handle all details of assigned project from inception to completion within mutually agreed-upon timeframes.
- Ability to generate work instructions.
- Design and/or specify tooling and fixtures to support assembly.
- High School Diploma OR General Education Degree (GED) required
- Must be currently enrolled in a BS/BA in an engineering program, mechanical engineering preferred, with a cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.0.
- At least 1 (one) or more years of demonstrated leadership skills such as: involvement in campus organizations and/or activities or exceptional leadership of work projects.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with others, aligning individual responsibilities with team goals and actively contributing to team success through a strong enthusiasm for learning and growth.
- Efficiency & Prioritization: Capable of setting clear action plans for oneself and others, ensuring tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently in line with organizational goals.
- Customer Focus & Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to quickly resolve issues to enhance customer satisfaction, maintaining a customer-centric approach at all times.
- This position will be based 100% onsite at our Southern Pines, North Carolina facility
