Position Overview
Reporting to the Operations Manager for Pavement Markings, The Dayton Plant Manager oversees all aspects of plant production activities at the Dayton, Nevada site. The Plant Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and environmentally sound operations of the plant; ensures successful execution of the Maintenance, Operations, Quality, Safety and Environmental functions at the site. Safely meeting the needs of the customers while meeting the expense budget – in a manner which exemplifies Ingevity management standards and practices. Complies with all Environmental, Health, and Safety laws and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures.

How You Will Impact Ingevity
- Provide leadership for the Dayton plant by establishing and implementing long term strategies, building a collaborative and engaging workplace culture, and inspiring the workforce to achieve the company’s goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and with plant employees to drive the IngeviWay culture of "Build, Inspire, and Lead", through advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion with integrity and ethical behavior.
- Create and maintain a cohesive team of leaders, providing mentoring and development for future readiness of plant leadership roles.
- Provide a clear sense of direction and focus to plant team members, building trusting relationships.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products to meet or exceed customer expectations, maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and shipping schedules.
- Partner with corporate CI team and Pavement Markings operations in driving continuous improvement initiatives at the plant.
- Play an active role in plant staffing to ensure proper headcount is maintained, create a positive employee culture and drive a culture of performance accountability.
- Build effective relationships with other plant leaders and corporate team members
- Build and maintain strong organizational knowledge and understanding of SH&E rules and regulations to maintain a strong culture of compliance and values
- Drive a Zero Harm culture through demonstrated management leadership and employee engagement. Drive improvement in key lagging/leading metrics: TCIR, increased near-miss and hazard reporting.
- Pursue improvements to both organizational and plant performance.
- Manage plant overall spending budget.
- Lead and serve as a member of the Pavement Markings leadership team -developing the overall plant vision and culture.
- Exemplifies safety procedures and wears appropriate PPE.
- Embraces and demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Ingeviway in Action.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 10 years of increasing responsibility in Production\Manufacturing operations.
- 5 years operations supervisory/management experience.
- Post-secondary certificate or degree preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated understanding and leadership of safety and quality systems, practices, and requirements for a safe, efficient, and effective work environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, team building, and advanced coaching skills including the ability to motivate people, assess, select, and develop employee skills, and drive organizational culture change.
- The flexibility to work extended hours during high-volume season.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to multitask with a strategic mindset and manage competing priorities in an effective manner.
