Position Overview:
This role is responsible for multiple administrative activities at the North Charleston Manufacturing Site including, payroll, timekeeping and scheduling for hourly team members, records administration, hourly recruiting coordination, and administrative support as needed and requested.
How you will impact Ingevity:
- Process biweekly payroll for the North Charleston hourly team members in Kronos
- Review time sheets, wage computation and other data to reconcile payroll issues or discrepancies
- Verify attendance, hours worked and pay adjustments
- Track and report weekly overtime percentages
- Schedule hourly manning shifts for multiple areas by coordinating with production supervision
- Administration of hourly team member payroll records and promotions in Kronos and WorkDay. Hourly team member recordkeeping
- Hourly team member recruitment responsibilities, including: posting positions, reviewing hourly applications, conducting pre-screening interviews, processing pre-employment screening and assessments, drafting and distributing offer letters, scheduling interviews, etc.
- Oversee timekeeping, including call-ins, vacation days, and holiday pay changes
- Administers plant uniforms program including payment of invoices
- Maintains plantwide communications system
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Provide administrative support for Plant Manager and all team members as necessary
What you need to succeed:
- High school diploma with 2 year Associate Degree in business or related discipline preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing environment preferred, experience in a union environment a plus
- Minimum of 3 years payroll processing experience required
- Minimum of 3 years creating employee work schedules preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong detail orientation
- Strong customer-focused orientation
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Must have proficient knowledge of all Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Experience with Kronos, Workday, with a Finance and Human Resources background preferred.
- Ability to multitask effectively in support of multiple ongoing initiatives
