Position Overview:
As a Technical Applications Specialist, you will serve as an integral part of the Pavement Technologies team providing support to our internal and external customers. Primary responsibilities will include formulating and designing with customer materials, production and testing of asphalt emulsions, evaluation of asphalt mixtures, and development of asphalt emulsion technologies. We’re looking for a high-energy individual with the qualifications listed below.

- Collaborate with a dynamic team to conduct evaluations, maximize results, and develop innovative solutions to meet our customers’ needs.
- Ensure that testing is completed according to industry and internal standards.
- Obtain accurate test results that will influence technical solutions from concept to customer acceptance.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in material science and 3 years of industry experience
- or 5 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Laboratory experience evaluating pavement mixtures is preferred
- Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time for industry and customer support
- Intuitive problem-solving skills
- High level of attention to detail and organizational ability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strength to safely handle 50 lb. buckets of materials
- Team player mentality and the flexibility to adapt to ever-changing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
