COACHING POSITION: JV Softball Coach
RATE OF PAY: Based on previous coaching experience
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A high school diploma and significant experience working with youth are preferred.
2. Prior successful experience preferred.
3. Ability to motivate students towards team goals.
4. Ability to work within the confines of the budget.
5. Ability to successfully communicate with parents and community members.
6. Ability to distribute and collect all school uniforms, equipment and other school property in an organized manner.
7. Knowledge of the rules and regulations of Michigan High School Athletic Association as to competitions, eligibility, training and participation.
8. Proven ability to work with all other coaches.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Responsible for leading the High School JV Softball program.
2. Responsible for the conduct of student-athletes at practice and games.
3. Displays tact, courtesy, and good sportsmanship with students, parents, and community.
4. Inspire a passion for the game at all levels.
5. All other duties as required to successfully lead kids in this position.
6. Work directly with the head coach to support them in all necessary aspects of team management, including training sessions, game preparation, player development, and administrative tasks, ensuring a cohesive and efficient coaching environment.
7. Develop respect by example in appearance, manners, behavior, language and conduct.
8. Model behaviors that reflect the values of good sportsmanship, fair competition and ethical behavior.
