Exciting Opportunity: Resident Service Coordinator

Your Impact:
The Service Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are working within a Person Centered, independent living and empowerment model to (a) assist individuals with disabilities, seniors, and families living in the community with accessing community-based services and
resources; (b) support building a healthy and vibrant apartment community; and (c) assist individuals with maintaining tenancy at supported housing sites; and (d) work collaboratively and in conjunction with Property Managers at community supported housing sites. Position requires operation of a vehicle. Service Coordinators are Community Builders, Advocates/Liaison, Educators and Resource Investigators. This role is integral in supporting and building a thriving community.
What You'll Do:
- Work from an empowerment model to support Community Residents to do as much as they care capable of doing themselves.
- Provide general service coordination supports which include intake, education (services available and application procedures), identification of community resources and referrals to other community service providers.
- Participate and complete orientation and ongoing training of the Resident Service Coordinator program.
- Develop and maintain a mutually respectful and collaborative partnership with Property Managers.
- Develop a Community Resource Directory.
- Sponsor and organize educational events for the Community Residents.
- Facilitate the formation of Resident Associations within the property if the residents are interested.
What We Are Looking For:
- Required – A bachelor’s degree in the Human Services, Counseling or Social Work field with two to three years of experience in social service delivery with the aging, disability or family populations.
- Must be able to travel between community sites, trainings, meetings and the Inglis Innovation Center. Demonstrated working knowledge of supportive services and other resources in the area available to the housing community.
- Valid driver’s license without restriction and ability to successfully complete authorized driver qualifications and requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve and provide results for the residents they serve.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook a must. knowledge of operating standard office equipment, excellent communication skills, written and verbal, ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills with
good research skills and attention to detail. - Must possess excellent customer service skills, demonstrate the ability to understand, interpret and uphold Inglis policies.
Pay Rate for This Role: $17-$23/ Hour
