Job Summary: Responsible for transporting tomato trailers from the yard to the unloading stations.
Essential Function:
- Transporting trailers safely from one area to another as directed by supervisor and management.
- Follow the dumping order list that is supplied by the yard coordinator.
- Perform simple vehicle maintenance; cleaning interior of vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, checking fluids, and reporting any vehicle issues to the proper supervisor.
- Keep work area clean by picking up tomatoes and sweeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Requires the ability to follow verbal and written commands, work with others, and the ability to coordinate production with peers.
- Requires the ability to work any shift.
- Must be able to climb on and off truck several times hourly during a 12-hour shift.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to use both hands and arms in full range of motion.
- Some pulling and pushing along with some twisting will be required.
- Must be able to work with some chemicals.
- Must have good hand and eye coordination skills.
- Must be able to work around moving equipment.
- Must be able to drive motorized vehicle.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Driver’s License is required with a DMV Printout.
