Experienced Welder

Job Description

Ingram Barge is seeking an Experienced Welder for our team in Metropolis, IL. Whether you are a Certified Welder, or just starting, Ingram will invest in your training and development for the next level.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ingram’s fleet of barges. We operate in an environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks, and responsibilities keep things interesting!  

What you'll be doing:

• Welding/Cutting/Fitting
• Dry docking vessels for hull repair
• Operating forklift
• Operating hydraulic crane
• Firewatch on towing vessels
• Route dock clean up
• Other duties as requested

Additional Information

Candidates must:

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Display excellent communication skills
• Can walk and lift for extended periods
• Can carry more than fifty pounds on a regular basis
• Must be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirements
