What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Law Clerk position at INGRAM LAW LLC?
Intake Law Clerk
Looking for a start in the legal field?
Ingram Law LLC has one if you’re dependable, ambitious, and looking to learn all you can from your time here.
Because while we’re offering competitive compensation and benefits, your real benefits will be what you learn working with us.
The job is relatively standard — Intake Law Clerk — but what you’ll learn on the job will be anything but.
First, the job:
As an Intake Law Clerk, you’ll answer incoming telephone calls, handle new client calls, organize client files, as well as assist clients with questions and inquiries, etc.
Basically, you’ll be setting up and managing the onboarding of new and prospective clients.
Perfectly standard position for a college or law school student, with lots of potential to move up and become part of a collaborative team.
Then there’s what you’ll learn, which, in short, is how to BE a lawyer.
If you’re in law school, you might have already figured this out, but law school teaches you the law, but not the nitty-gritty of how to BE a lawyer.
You kind of have to learn that by apprenticeship. And that’s what we’re offering. But unlike many firms, we are offering that from a firm that handles Criminal Defense AND Family Law and from a firm that takes more cases to court than most other firms.
Being part of that process is your ticket to learn most of what you don’t know that you don’t know about being a lawyer.
