The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of electrical construction projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This role includes managing teams, ensuring project schedules and budgets are met, maintaining high-quality standards, and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. The Operations Manager will oversee the end-to-end bidding process for new projects and play a key role in driving the company's growth by expanding our reach to both new and existing customers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical contracting, leadership, and operational management. The Operations Manager plays a critical role in driving operational success and delivering high-quality electrical contracting services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all operational activities for electrical contracting projects.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to project schedules, timelines, and budgets.
- Supervise project managers, estimators, electricians, and administrative staff.
- Provide training, mentoring, and performance evaluations for team members.
- Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with safety regulations.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Review and approve project budgets, estimates, and schedules.
- Resolve project issues and ensure client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Represent the company in meetings, negotiations, and presentations.
- Monitor operational budgets and ensure cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams for accurate financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to increase profitability and reduce expenses.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with industry regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits to review progress and quality.
- Implement corrective actions as needed to address deficiencies.
- Responsible for ensuring safety across all locations in collaboration with the Safety Supervisor.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial electrical construction, with at least 5 years in an operations manager or equal level role.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction or Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
Work Environment:
- This role is situated within a professional office environment and regularly utilizes standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
- While executing job responsibilities, the employee will regularly engage in verbal communication. Additionally, physical demands include standing, walking, manual dexterity tasks, and reaching.
- Occasional physical activities may include sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The position involves frequent lifting and moving of objects weighing up to 10 pounds, with occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds.
- This is a full-time position with working hours that may vary.

- While executing job responsibilities, the employee will be required to engage regularly in standing, walking, sitting, manual manipulation of objects, tools, or controls, reaching, climbing stairs, and verbal communication.
- The employee will also be expected to have the ability to climb ladders, work from an elevated location, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl. Additionally, the employee will need to be able to frequently and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
Travel:
- Daily travel within a limited area.
- Required to travel to all project locations with Project Managers or Supervisors to monitor and ensure the successful progression of projects.

Salary : $90,000 - $150,000
