Full Job Description – Parts Runner
Description
Hours: M-F 7am – 5:30pm and an occasional Saturday
We are looking for a responsible, self-motivated and energetic applicants who have great dependability and accuracy who do not mind being exposed to grease, oil, dirt, etc. that exist in a mechanic shop environment including the weather elements. This position will support our company’s parts, scheduling, and receiving operations including organizing and pulling parts, packaging shipments and delivering parts to jobsites, all while abiding our company safety regulations.
What You’ll Do:
SUMMARY: Under general supervision
- Ability to understand and comply with written and oral instructions given in the English and Spanish language
- Available to respond for parts pick-up, parts delivery, organization, and recording parts
- Ability to prioritize multiple parts pick-up and deliveries
- Ability to work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others
- Ability to work under hazardous conditions where physical danger exists due to heavy traffic, mechanical equipment
- Perform tasks in and around heavy traffic
- Performance may require exposure to prolonged high noise levels
- Maintain safe, courteous driving techniques
- Maintain customer relations and public image
- Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements
- Maintain storage shed areas free of debris
- Maintain yard area free and clear of debris
- Operate yard equipment, & make minor repairs to yard equipment
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bilingual
- Computer literate
- Possess a valid Texas drivers license with a clear driving record
- Required to pass a physical exam
- Required to pass pre-employment drug testing
