Ingredion is seeking to hire a Senior Manager, Time to Pay – North America who will be responsible for US/Canada payroll, serviced by a team based in Guadalajara, Mexico. This candidate will bring deep experience with time and attendance and payroll processes and systems to our US and Canada payroll teams. This key new role is responsible for the Time to Pay (T2P) value stream (technologies, processes and controls) acting as the center of excellence including reporting results, supporting and implementing audits and controls, ongoing leadership of the Time to Pay digital transformation and technology roadmap including the Self-Service Employee Portals, Data and Process Governance between the systems as part of the Time to Pay technology architecture. The Senior Manager of T2P will directly lead the Integrated Global Services (IGS) payroll teams for US/Canada and will partner with our Digital Solutions, Total Rewards, HRBP, and IT teams to drive best in class process and performance excellence on all execution of T2P processes, system projects, data management and reporting needs.
This leader will be a key partner in developing and implementing strategies to systematically scale the payroll operations and related systems while maintaining quality, accuracy, internal controls, and compliance. This highly visible role will require a candidate with the ability to work closely, yet also remotely with all Payroll & Time and Attendance teams regarding the systems and processes impacting payroll including implementation of controls across the organization.
This role works closely with the company’s businesses and other functions to understand individual requirements from the payroll processes and drives improvements to raise the performance of the company’s payroll processes by utilizing lean process management, continuous improvement and KPI-based performance management. This role ensures that payroll processes executed by US/Canada IGS team is efficient, compliant, meeting performance objectives and aligned with the organization's strategic objectives. The role will provide value to the business by developing strategies, supporting and executing key payroll system implementations, process optimization and transformation programs.

$144,640.00-$192,853.33 Annual
This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.

Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement US/Canada payroll system policies, payroll process procedures, and internal time and attendance and payroll controls to ensure consistent practices, risk mitigation and compliance.
- Maintain internal control documentation and participate in key control activities for US/Canada payroll. Identify and mitigate risks associated with payroll and timekeeping processes.
- As the process owner, govern T2P end-to-end US/Canada time keeping and payroll operations, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely processing of payroll. Execute key payroll system implementations, process optimization and transformation programs
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local payroll providers and vendors to ensure seamless payroll delivery. Act as relationship owner with payroll vendor.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws, and social security requirements in each jurisdiction.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to collaborate the Time to Pay digital transformation partnership and technology integrations roadmap including but not limited to the payroll Self-Service Employee Portals, Data and Process Governance between the systems as part of the Time to Pay technology architecture.
- Actively engage, collaborate, and communicate with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure business objectives and priorities are met and executed effectively for a seamless payroll operation
- Develop and deliver training materials to employees, managers and/or HR related to time and attendance and payroll as necessary. Act as a change agent.
- Monitor the latest payroll and wage laws and regulations to ensure tax and benefits compliance is maintained within systems
- Identify, lead implementations and/or execute payroll projects or process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll and timekeeping operations
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports, including financial statements and compliance reports.
- Lead or assist on special tasks and projects as needed (e.g., M&A payroll integration, entity set up, system implementations, etc.)
- Oversee US/Canada payroll team supporting full cycle payroll processing to ensure that all local and regulatory deadlines are met. Recruit, train, coach and develop best in class talent that will be subject matter experts and points of contact for all internal and external payroll inquires and will achieve business goals and metrics.

- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of 15 years progressive experience and expertise in Payroll and Time & Attendance process strategies, Country / Province payroll taxes and related controls and risk mitigation strategies including deductions by Country or as applicable.
- Experience managing a team of payroll professionals and ability to coach and develop talent.
- Payroll qualification preferred (e.g. Certified Payroll Accountant or equivalent)
- Experience transforming a payroll function to maximize automation, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
- Demonstrated ability to lead large cross-functional projects with strong project management experience including the ability to manage project plans, dependencies, critical path activities, and milestones. Act as a change agent
- Highly analytical, aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and demands
- Excel in fast-paced environment; versatile, capable of managing multiple projects and tasks
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and various levels of management as well as external contacts
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic
- Demonstrates professionalism and maturity in handling confidential information
- Strong payroll tax knowledge for U.S., Canada, and Mexico
- Demonstrated experience in process re-engineering, and payroll technology implementation
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize varied viewpoints to identify an optimal solution and develop a coherent plan or vision
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and drive execution at all levels of the organization
- Workday (HRIS) and UKG, ADP Globalview payroll product suite (or other well-known payroll platform) advanced knowledge preferred.
