Ingredion is looking for a Technical Sales Representative who will be part of our Virtual Sales Team. In this role, you will interact directly with our small and medium customers, providing them with ingredient recommendations for their food & beverage applications. You will be managing customers directly and developing new opportunities. You will be working across our entire portfolio, including starches, plant-based proteins, sugar-reduction solutions, and hydrocolloids. You will be joining a large team of peers and enjoying significant on-the-job training and support. This role provides high visibility within Ingredion including exposure to field Sales, Technical Service, R&D, Customer Service, etc. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about building relationships with customers and has a technical degree, such as Food Science. The role is a springboard for career growth at Ingredion.

$58,160.00-$77,546.67 Annual
This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.

As a Technical Account Representative, Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Account management: manage accounts in an assigned sales territory
- Lead generation and management: develop new opportunities with existing and prospective customers by following up on leads from multiple sources (trade shows, marketing qualified leads, online chat, 1-800 line)
- Relationships: develop meaningful relationships with customers
- Skill set: Develop an understanding of Ingredion’s product portfolio. Demonstrate solution selling skills to help customers solve their ingredient formulation needs with Ingredion’s products. Continuously develop sales skills via training and on-the-job learning
- Stay up to date with current trends in the food industry
- The role does not require travel to customers, but offers opportunities for travel to trade shows or industry events
- A bachelor’s degree in food science or technical field
- 1-3 years of work experience in Sales or Customer Service
- Passion for working with customers and building relationships
- Attention to detail, well organized, interested in working in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills, effective at presenting ideas to customers, comfortable speaking to customers via phone or video
