Job Description
The Content Strategist is an integral part of the corporate marketing team responsible for both planning and developing written content for awareness marketing, lead generation and sales enablement to include long form, short form and social content.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working with subject matter experts to efficiently gather necessary technical details, customer information and goals and in turn create meaningful content in multiple forms from this data. The Content Strategist must be comfortable both working within brand standards and blazing a new path into uncharted content territory as Inhabit continues to grow and evolve. This position is ideal for the person who enjoys variety and multi-tasking.
The Content Strategist reports to the Director of Marketing, Residential Division and works actively with Senior Content Strategist, Marketing Manager-Insurance, design, development, SEO, email marketing and field marketing peers. Additionally, Content Strategist will engage with various members of Sales, Account Management and Product groups.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)
- Support the content creation process for ResidentIQ® and ePremium® Insurance Agency
- Research various industries across multifamily and insurance helping to build and maintain content pipeline
- Proactively engage and collaborate with with Subject Matter Experts within product groups to help identify and develop content
- Conceptualize, write, proof, and edit both long form and short from copy for email, web, print, social, events, video, and webinars
- Proactively evaluate performance of content using established KPIs for content type and optimize content to continuously improve
- Help maintain accurate content and social calendars, varying effort to match product importance and need
- Copyedit with a strong understanding of brand styles and brand tones
- Ability to version writing style based on channel and audience
- Skilled at story-telling using interviews, statements and data from multiple sources
- Ability to collaborate with other team members by sharing ideas and learnings
What We're Looking For (Minimum qualifications)
- 2 years of content creation in-house, agency, as a freelancer or journalist
- Strong sense of tone and the ability to learn and adapt to brand standards
- Exceptional time management, creative thinking, and written and oral communication skills.
- An interest in the real estate and property rental markets
- Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity but with the ability to clarify needs to advance projects
- Enjoys taking ownership of projects
- Strong team player who values collaboration and teamwork
- Expert with grammar and syntax
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or similar.
