Job Summary
Inhabit is seeking a Development Manager who is highly self-driven, has a passion for efficiency and process, excels at communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical people, and has an ability to quickly assess and triage problems. You will succeed in this role if you understand the value of helping people communicate and work effectively in all areas affecting development. Ideally you have a solid background in hands-on development in one or more development languages. You have a knack for problem-solving, particularly when that problem-solving involves rallying people together to find resolution.
This position requires superior communication skills, as well as a broad background in the technical aspects of development. You will be working with a number of development teams and solo developers on a wide variety of unique applications. These developers use a multitude of languages and have varying levels of skill. You should be comfortable being able to interpret the basic logic of most coding languages, even if you do not have a direct familiarity developing in that language. You must be able to work with a broad array of personalities and cultures both within the United States and internationally.
As a Development Manager, you must be available to assist in troubleshooting and fostering smooth communication between SaasOps/DevOps and Development teams for production outages when they occur. While the goal is always to minimize these events, they do happen, and Development Managers must be available for after-hours support for the development teams if required.
This role is critical in bridging the gap between the architectural vision and practical development execution, ensuring that our software products are not only well-designed but also effectively developed and delivered. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who excels in a collaborative environment and is committed to driving innovation and excellence in software development.
