The Senior Director – BI and Analytics leads a team centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. This position works with all stakeholders to get the reporting and data needs to solve complex business problems and works to prioritize and manage multiple projects and requests.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)
- Define and execute BI and Analytics strategy for all business units and corporate functions.
- Direct and lead development teams consisting of Business Analysts, Software/Report Engineers and Quality Assurance personnel who work to design, develop, and maintain BI solutions for the company.
- Partner with Business Leaders to develop and implement Digital solutions to streamline data and reporting.
- Evaluate, develop, architect, standardize and support technology platforms using Industry leading BI / Reporting solutions.
- Lead report building, data engineering and data transformation workstreams for large projects.
- Manage teams and work with a large number of stakeholders in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Work with Senior Leadership and Executive Teams to understand business issues and develop reporting to help manage resolution.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
What We're Looking For (Minimum qualifications)
- 8 years of experience with BI platforms and reporting.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau required, Stitch, Snowflake, and Sigma preferred.
- Coding skills with SQL, R, or Python required.
- Exceptional analytical ability, strong technical skills and business intelligence skills.
- Possess strong Customer Service mindset, demonstrate a full understanding of the needs of the internal customer.
- Project management skill set with the ability to manage special complex projects which are large in scope.
- Ability to work independently.
- Flexible to various demands and ability to problem solve, including the ability to logically approach a problem and propose multiple recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of interpersonal skills to enable collaboration with other functional groups and individuals to meet overall business objectives.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent relevant experience.
