Job Description
The Senior Web Author is a team member of the Digital Lab Consumer Channels team within AbbVie's US Commercial Digital Lab.
This role will be responsible for authoring, updating, and publishing web pages and components within the Adobe Experience Manager platform across our Brand marketing websites and customer apps.
The Senior Web Author will manage and work with copy, images, videos, PDFs, SEO metadata, and tagging to maintain content and make updates to various websites within AEM. The Web Content Author will also be responsible for updating and maintaining CSS files across all incoming projects, requiring work with other authors and teams to ensure projects are not overlapping.
The Senior Web Author is responsible for publishing and maintaining content across various websites. All authoring will be done in adherence to content requirements and input from marketers, creative agencies, and team leads.
- Create web pages and author in components within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) based on requirements documentation provided by the Web specialist.
- Using CSS expertise, match creative specifications to project briefs. Partner with other authors to solve CSS issues and act as CSS expert for authors not trained in CSS.
- Have Accessibility knowledge to implement on incoming projects. Utilize SiteImprove to scan brand sites and identify upgrades to make.
- Work closely with QA partners to ensure perfect execution of project briefs.
- Manage assets within Adobe Digital Asset Manager.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and document browser / platform compatibility issues and standards.
- Collaborate and partner with Web specialists and the broader channels team members to execute project authoring, changes from Med / Legal, BTS testing, and the push to production.
- Edit a variety of digital content as needed, including marketing pages, informational content, navigational elements, form field labels and messaging, error messages, contextual help, alert messages, and FAQs.
- Manage issues on projects with the Platform Team. Troubleshoot and work in collaboration to find solutions and implement them as necessary.
- Responsible for following platform processes to have projects moved to higher environments and then published.
