For more information, please see www.ideayabio.com .Position SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Strategy with extensive experience launching new oncology products and driving commercial pipeline strategy to build, lead and execute all aspects of IDEAYA’s marketing efforts. This individual will be responsible for developing all marketing strategies, with an initial focus on launch readiness and commercialization in the U.S. of our lead program darovasertib, in Uveal Melanoma [UM]. In addition, this role will be accountable for driving commercial strategy for darovasertib lifecycle management and our pipeline of exciting precision medicine assets. This is one of the first commercial hires for the company, and as a member of the commercial leadership team, this role will be integral in IDEAYA’s transition to a commercial stage biotechnology company.What you'll do : Accountable for developing and executing all US and global Marketing strategies that align with the overall company strategic imperatives and support the safe and effective use of our products by customers and patientsEnsure strategic alignment with cross-functional commercial partners in commercial insights and analytics, market access, and sales in order to produce high quality marketing efforts that achieve company performance objectivesBuild and implement the marketing plan including, but not limited to, marketing strategy, brand development, promotions, digital marketing, patient marketing, and marketing operationsDevelop and execute comprehensive commercial strategy and plans to ensure successful commercial launch of darovasertib in the US and other ex-US marketsPartner with commercial insights and analytics to develop and maintain deep market insights through market research, competitive intelligence, business analytics, necessary metrics / KPIs are in place to measure performance and identify opportunities as neededLead the development and implementation of commercial plans for potential future products including situation analysis, sizing / segmentation, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market commercial strategiesPartner with Clinical Development to inform trial design and prioritization of lifecycle plans and future pipeline assetsMaintain a high degree of presence, visibility, and ensure regular and effective communication with the field sales team to regularly solicit input, feedback, ideas, identify challenges and opportunities to deliver solutions as neededPartner with commercial insights and analytics and finance to develop and maintain commercial forecasts, quarterly latest estimates, and operating budgetsDevelop a close collaborative relationship with Medical Affairs to ensure that Marketing and Medical Affairs are working together on deliverables such as KOL identification and development, publication planning, medical congresses, advisory boards, disease education / awareness initiatives, speaker programs, life cycle management strategies, etc.Proactively develop and maintain close relationships with US and international Thought Leaders to inform commercial strategyEnsure successfully agency and vendor partnershipsDevelop and deliver marketing presentations to IDEAYA senior and executive leadershipParticipate in portfolio strategy and commercial evaluation of business development opportunities as neededProvide input as needed to other business planning processes such as IC planning, CMC, budgeting, etc.Ability to travel (domestic and some international) to attend industry and team / field sales meetings, customer engagements, market research, etc – estimated at 20% travel.Requirements : Bachelors degree in business or related discipline required; MBA strongly preferredMinimum of 15 years of experience within the biotech / pharmaceutical industry, including at least 8-10 years in senior marketing positions with increasing responsibilities, and 5-7 years in sales leadership roles.U.S. Oncology launch experience is required; Global launch experience strongly preferredExperience building teams and commercial capabilities is requiredDemonstrated ability to deliver results in competitive marketsProven success collaborating closely with other commercial disciplines (market access, sales, operations, training, insights / analytics, etc).Ability and willingness to perform in IDEAYA’s working-leader environment where all leaders are expected to demonstrate strategic leadership, role modeling our company values, demonstrating collaboration and teamwork, and rolling up your sleeves on day-to-day deliverablesMust be highly analytical, and comfortable with formulating and delivering data-driven, fact-based analysis of the business and utilizing insights to propose effective marketing strategiesMust be resourceful, demonstrate an agile and lean mindset approach, creative problem solver who seeks out and is receptive to new ideas and approaches to solving challengesMust fit our IDEAYA culture and be a true team player – authentic, humble, professional, able to build a positive team spirit that supports a positive relationship with the field sales team and all stakeholder functions across IDEAYAAbility to adapt to changes in the work environment, industry, manages competing demands.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present to and engage with a wide range of audiencesStrategic thinking with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
