A Batch Assistant supports the Batch Master by accurately measuring and loading raw materials into a batching system, ensuring proper mixing and consistency, maintaining inventory levels, performing quality checks, and keeping the batching area clean and organized, in a manufacturing food processing plant, requiring attention to detail, basic math skills, and adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Accurately weigh and measure raw materials according to batch formulas, loading them into the appropriate mixing equipment.
- Batch Preparation: Operate batching machinery to mix ingredients according to established procedures, monitoring mixing times and consistency.
- Quality Control: Perform basic quality checks on batches, including visual inspections and sampling, to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, reporting shortages and coordinating deliveries.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the batching area clean and organized, including cleaning equipment, spills, and debris.
- Documentation: Record batch details accurately on production logs, including weights, mixing times, and quality checks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
