Job Title: Cashier/Clerk
Reports To: Store Supervisor
General Purpose of Position:
Cashiers are responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, cash register operations and safeguarding assets.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, a solid knowledge of product pricing and all other aspects of customer service.
- Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and accurately maintain all cash and media at the registers.
- Communicate customer requests to management.
- Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked
- Assist in stocking the store, check dressing rooms and rehang the merchandise, straighten all areas as needed.
- Assist with the weekly pulling of merchandise.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to process information/merchandise through register system
- Ability to communicate with associates and customers
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation
- Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
Requirements:
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods.
- Physical ability to move and handle merchandise, pushing pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work a minimum of a Sunday 6 hour shift on a regular basis
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 36 per week
