Night Survey Driver / Sign and Lighting

Role: Drive your vehicle and use our app on your phone to identify and document our customers with sign and lighting outages.
Pay Options
- Make $18 per hour in a 3 hour shift, from the safety and comfort of your vehicle.

We are seeking candidates within the following cities:

-Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Richmond, Newport News, Lynchburg, Roanoke, and surrounding areas.

Minimum nights required per week: 2 or 3 three hour shifts.

GENERAL PURPOSE
Drives personal vehicle over specified geographic areas to locate and report sign and lighting outages and sign service issues by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follows assigned patrol routes via the Servizio handheld, thoroughly checking all waypoints on the route for sign and lighting outages and service opportunities
• Maintains constant surveillance from vehicle to identify additional sign and lighting outages and sign service issues

• Utilizes the Servizio handheld to document outages by taking pictures and recording other details such as problem reported, sign/lighting elevations, customer name, address.

• Estimates size and characteristics of outage or service issue, and reports findings to supervisor.

• Relays information to other interested departments, store managers, and/or owners

MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned

NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS
Contactless job from your vehicle. Interacts regularly with supervisor, service, and sales employees to discuss observations of possible sales/service leads and/or service issues

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:

Less than high school education; or up to one month related sign project experience or training; must have a state issued driver’s license in good standing; must be 18 years or older; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information to employees of the organization
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to drive an automobile
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to see from a distance
• A driver's license in good standing and proof of insurance on vehicle driven is required.
