Summary
We are seeking an Accountant to join our team at Inland Behavioral and Health Services in San Bernardino. Under the supervision of the CFO and Senior Accountant, the Accountant is responsible for assisting in the planning and control of the organization’s financial affairs and activities.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities and duties of a Sr. Accountant include, but are not limited to:
- Assists to develop and prepare detailed financial, cost and charges, budget and accounting statistical reports.
- Coordinates related documentation for external auditors and available during corporate and program audits.
- Assists in analysis of revenue and expenditures in administering budgets.
- Assists in the developing of agency and project budgets.
- Assists with updates of Chart of Accounts
- Assists with preparation of standard journal entries and adjusting entries for monthly and year-end closings
- Preparation, entry, and maintenance of journal entries including payroll, cash receipts, monthly A/R, and depreciation schedule into MAS90
- Maintains filing system for all related accounting records and reports
- Assists with accounts receivable and petty cash system
- Assists with reconciliation of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable reports to General Ledger
- Assist with Payroll and Accounts Payable, and special projects as assigned
- Make recommendations to develop, improve, and update financial systems and procedures as necessary
- Assist with annual Audit preparation
- Attend departmental/staff meetings as required
- Attend training to maintain and/or improve skills
- Prepare monthly board reports
- Knowledgeable of contract billing
- Assist CFO with budgets
- Reconciles accounts- monthly
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Candidate must posses an AA Degree in Accounting, preferred BS Degree. At least three years experience in accounting. Experience with MAS90, Excel, and electronic health records. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Three years of professional level accounting experience including the areas of general accounting, fixed assets, depreciation, and tax reporting. Knowledge of governmental reporting requirements. Ability to establish and maintain fiscal records and procedures. Ability to prepare financial reports. Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel proficiency. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
