Estimator
Job description: Responsible for most pre-construction activities including organizing, scoping, and pricing all potential projects. Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate estimates, that will allow the company to meet its sales and profitability objectives.
Required skills and abilities include:
· Superior ability to multi-task, coupled with strong memory recall skills
· Superior attention to detail and accuracy
· Create, use, and manage all construction tools including logs and reports of all contracts, purchase orders, work orders, change orders, shop drawings, RFI’s, and construction drawings.
· Work with the project team to establish procedures for information flow, approvals, meetings, reporting, applications for payment, ect., among the design professionals, consultants, owners, and internal offices.
· Work with the Project Superintendent to establish procedures with the subcontractors and suppliers for information flow, approvals, meetings, reporting, applications for payment, ect.
· Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Self-motivated, with a strong sense of responsibility
· Able to work in a team environment and independently
· Prepare and decimate all required documentation records.
· Knowledge of ADA Codes as it applies to our scope of work
· Submits 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline
· Examine all documents for constructability, seek out suspected design deficiencies, impractical details and code violations. Bring all concerns to attention.
· Must have some Construction Site knowledge and protocol
· Must be able to speak and read English fluently
· Must be able to pass a chemical and drug test as a condition of employment
· Must be able to submit a background check
· Time conscious - the position is deadline-driven and all deadlines must be met
Desired experience includes:
· 5 years experience in Commercial Construction or a Construction related field is preferred
· Proficient at reading architectural drawings
· Microsoft Software - Office, Excel, Outlook, Word
· CAD software
· Planswift or any other Architectural Software
· Finance and Math Skills are a plus
The company is a distributor and installer of Division 10 products for Commercial and Institutional General Contractors.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
