Description
Construction Inspector
Must be able to work in fast pace construction environment, have strong communication skills, and must be familiar with using Microsoft programs.
Call Dig Alert (USA) prior to start any construction work for both In- house and subcontractors working for Inland Engineering Services.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, policies, procedures and construction practices.
Utilizes working knowledge of clearance and permit needs for outside or inside plant construction.
Utilizes good interpersonal communication skills when working with public utilities and private contractors.
Ability to place No Parking signs, notify residents on any upcoming Construction projects.
Maintain and oversees traffic control, as required.
Assist Construction Foreman as needed.
Ability to prepare construction as build utilizing Adobe or Visio.
Utilizes good written communication skills.
Ability to read and understand construction and traffic control maps and utilizes working knowledge of drawings or design.
Recognizes, practices and enforces safety rules and procedures.
Wears safety PPE, which includes: hard hats, where required, proper footwear, safety glasses, gloves, etc.
Maintain company issued vehicle clean and in good driving condition.
