Make Ready Pole Loader
Inland Engineering Services, Inc (IES) is an engineering and construction company, successful in business since 2007. IES specializes in excavation, backhoe trenching, directional drilling, aerial fiber optic placement just to name a few services that we provide. We are looking for a Drafter to be part of the Make Ready Department for our Corona facility, that has the desire to be a part of a winning team and growing company with many opportunities.
OVERVIEW:
A Make Ready Pole Loader for communication infrastructure is involved in the creating of 3-dimensional poles in Ocalc and SpidaCalc to provide results to be sure it is safe for the client to attach aerially to power and communication poles. Training is provided to all new hires.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loading in Ocalc or SpidaCalc
- Use of Google Maps or Google Earth to obtain GPS coordinates
- Basic use of AutoCAD
- Understanding the client and utilities specified details for reporting
- Communicate with Admins and fielders to retrieve information about certain designs or for confirmation on details requested.
- Know practices and standards for different Utilities.
- Revise existing maps or drafts for updating information or routes
- Ability to understand and capture important and relevant information to any particular project.
- Update internal tracking system on job status
- Ability to understand and capture important and relevant information to any particular project.
- Ability to understand and identify pole equipment and translate that into the loading
- Basic email etiquette to communicate with team members

EXPERIENCE SKILLS & EDUCATION
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, SpidaCalc, Ocalc.

- Prioritizing and attention to detail.
- Navigate Google Earth, Bing maps
- Must learn client specified details
- Understand Basic Communication infrastructure
- Understand basic communication/construction terminology
