Telecom Site Survey Drafter
nland Engineering Services, Inc (IES) is an engineering and construction company, successful in business since 2007. IES specializes in excavation, backhoe trenching, directional drilling, aerial fiber optic placement just to name a few services that we provide. We are looking for a Drafter to be part of the Site Survey Department for our Corona facility, that has the desire to be a part of a winning team and growing company with many opportunities.
OVERVIEW:
A Site Survey for communication infrastructure drafter is involved in the drafting of site surveys, adjustment of any redlined site drawing, updating, and tracking sites upon acceptance or completion. Also, there will be times where you will be asked to do ride-a longs with our fielders with the intensions of having you get an understanding of what is expected on site surveys drawings. Training is provided to all new hires.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Draft Fiber Surveys
- Draft Coax surveys
- Exhibit drawings of simple, easily visualized structures, systems or marked-up prints.
- Communicate with coordinator to confirm or revise drafts.
- Communicate with Admins and fielders to retrieve information about certain designs or for confirmation on details requested.
- Meet client specific deadlines for drawings.
- Know practices and standards for different Zones (areas).
- Identify and Request information to illustrate a better scope of work
- Revise existing maps or drafts for updating information or routes
- May be required to perform field work related to a specific projects and performs other related duties as assigned.
- Understand and articulate any site survey
- Ability to understand and capture important and relevant information to any particular project.
- Upload and deliver finalized package to client
- Update internal tracking system on job status

EXPERIENCE SKILLS & EDUCATION
- AutoCAD Education /Equivalent to 12 months of experience working with AutoCAD
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD.
- Ability to follow process of established company standards
- Be able to Multitask in a fast paced environment
- Creative, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Prioritizing and attention to detail.
- Navigate Google Earth, Bing maps
- Understand process of Commercial Surveys
- Must learn client specified details
- Understand Basic Communication infrastructure
- Understand basic communication/construction terminology
- Understand how to interpret a drawing and place it on Auto-Cad
- Understand and articulate any site survey
- Ability to understand and capture important and relevant information to any particular project.

Exposure to noise, occasional interruptions, and frequent confinement workstation. Normal office conditions exist in an open office environment with exposure to repetitive work.
