Certification Details BLS ACLS PALS NIHSS Job Details 3 / 31 start needed Manager Interviews 48 bed, Community Hospital No trauma designation General Information : 10 beds, 2 triage rooms Experience? 1 year in the ED required, 2 years ED preferred First-time traveler? Yes Patient Types : Neonates to Geriatrics General ED patient population, to include but not limited to : abdominal pain, CHF, chest pain, respiratory illnesses, MI, seizures, animal bites, admitted holds, etc. Skills required : Strong generalist needed; Cardiac patients, ICU hold overs, Cardizem gtts, central lines, BiPaps, vents (RT manages), procedural sedation, RSI levels and triaging Patient Ratios : RN – 1 : 4, both shifts; Techs – 1 : 10; both shifts Support on the Unit : Charge nurse : Yes; Phlebotomy? yes; House manager assists with patient care if needed; Nurse Manager – carries patient assignment; RT, 24 / 7; Anesthesia will help with pediatric sedation Charting System / Equipment : CERNER, Alaris IV Pumps, Pyxis med dispensing, GE Cardiac Monitors, Life pack 20s for code carts Floating : No floating Orientation : No hospital orientation.
