WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR WITH A MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.
ROLE:
You will operate one of our 12 Amada press brakes forming precision sheet metal parts. The range of materials, thicknesses, finishes, and complexity is vast. For parts the shop has made before, you’ll have setup sheets that provide you direction. For new parts, on your own or with your lead and/or Engineering, you’ll have to figure out the right tooling and best way to form them up. Apart from your primary responsibility of making good parts on-time, you’ll work with your department (your team) on achieving companywide goals and improving the department in all ways possible.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely, efficiently, and effectively operate an Amada press brake.
- Follow setup sheets and help revise old ones or generate new ones when needed.
- Produce good parts on-time. You are responsible for the quality of every part you produce.
- Interact with our ERP system correctly (punching in and out of jobs)
- As with all that work at Inland, help your fellow departments when they get in trouble.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 3 years’ experience as a press brake operator.
- Know how to safely setup and operate an Amada press brake.
- Must be able to read and follow blueprints pertaining to press brake operation.
- Must be able to properly use relevant inspection equipment such as calipers and height gages.
- Physical strength to repeatedly lift and carry 25 lbs.
