Position Title: Collections Route Driver
Location: Nez Perce County
Pay Range: $21 - $23
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Reports to: Driver Supervisor

Overview:
This is a key position that collects solid waste from residents we serve. This role is responsible for driving predetermined routes, documenting collection activities and vehicle pre and post trip standards, providing exceptional customer service, and providing team support.
Responsible For:
- Operate waste and recycling trucks in a safe manner
- Be a team member by providing feedback in a professional manner
- Conduct all activities according to the delivery and collection schedule, regularly making suggestions for improvement
- Follow and model relevant company policies and procedures
- Ensure company equipment and material is maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner
- Ensure proper operation of equipment by performing regular checks on their functionality
- Communicate regularly with supervisor to ensure timely service at the job site
- Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately
- Complete minor repairs on vehicles and machinery as required
- Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management
- Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules
- Provide valuable input and suggestions regarding customer service, routing or other procedures pertaining to the collection of refuse.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adheres to driver uniform requirements
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Possess a Class B Commercial driver’s license, in good standing
- No serious tickets or accidents in the last 3 years
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to learn and use new Technology
- Problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong documentation and speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Background check results satisfactory to INW
- Negative drug test result(s)
- Maintain professional standards reflective of INW values
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and maneuver 50 pounds
- Lift, push, pull, bend, reach, twist, stoop, etc.
- Use and climb a ladder
- Must be able to work in noise
- Must be able to drive in all seasons
- Must have ability to stand or sit for at least 8 hours
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
