What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant--willing to train position at Inland NW Foot and Ankle?
{One of our longtime medical assistants is relocating, and we are crestfallen. Until this past year, we have had the same 6 staff members for more than 10 years. If you are looking to join a medical practice who values its employees and treats them like family, please read about our practice and open position below.}
We are a busy, one-physician medical practice in Post Falls, Idaho, seeking a medical assistant to join our amazing team!
Having a previous medical background and/or medical assisting experience would be wonderful, but we have some incredible assistants whom we have trained, so we are more interested in finding the right individual.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, organized and happy. Qualified candidates should have excellent computer skills and be able to learn new things quickly in a fast-paced environment.
We offer competitive wages, with our starting salary dependent on previous experience in the medical field. Once our new medical assistant is fully trained and operating independently, we will adjust the starting salary accordingly. We also offer monthly production bonuses, accrued paid time off, paid holidays, and health benefits after 6 months of employment.
Here is a list of our medical assistants’ responsibilities: room patients, take x-rays, remove bandages and sutures, complete charts, and set up procedures for the doctor.
We see patients in our clinic Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Typically assistants have Thursdays and Fridays off, although some weeks we may see patients on a Thursday. Generally, this job is around 25 hours per week.
We strive to create an upbeat and fun work environment by providing frequent lunches, in-office games with prizes, and a monthly visit from a massage therapist for mini staff massages. We believe in rewarding excellence, and we treat our employees with respect and kindness. We value longevity and do our best to make sure our staff enjoys coming to work each day.
Please submit a cover letter, along with your resume, telling us a little bit about yourself and why you are interested in being a medical assistant for our practice. If you seem like a good fit, we will reach out for an initial interview. From those interviews, we will invite the top applicants to return for a paid, working interview.
Thank you for your interest in our medical assistant position! We look forward to meeting you!
