What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freezer Inventory Control position at Inland Seafood?
We are looking for a warehouse associate with experience in inventory control and general warehouse work. The position will entail checking in frozen product, stocking frozen product, taking daily inventory and pulling frozen product for outbound shipments. Minimum 3 years experience in general warehouse is a plus
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Complete diary logs into inventory
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Able and willing to work evening hours in a cold and wet environment
Skills
- Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects - up to 80 lbs
- Forklift experience
- High school degree
(Please note - we are currently working in a temporary facility and will be moving to Elmwood in a few months)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
