Position Overview :
Responsible for the safe transportation, local and long-haul bulk fluid transfers of Type 1 non-hazardous waste. When not engaged in transporting fluid, there will be a requirement to operate our fluid collection and / or processing equipment. This is a regular full-time position. Travel is required and overnight travel can be expected.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to) :
Operate and navigate company-owned or leased vehicles in excess of four tons including tractor / trailer / tanker, forklift and mechanized equipment;
Document, record, and track all required log sheets IAW, FMCSA, DOT and Inland Technologies International Ltd. requirements;
Knowledge of local major and minor roadways and the ability to effectively use maps and direction for efficient travel routing;
Identify, troubleshoot and service devices, parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles;
Service truck with fuel, oil and other fluids and perform preventative maintenance to tractor-trailer;
Required Skills and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent;
Clean driver's abstract;
Must possess CDL Class A License
Minimum two years' commercial driving experience;
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform vehicle maintenance;
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
Ability to read and interpret written communication and reports;
Sitting while driving for long periods of time in possible inclement weather;
Ability to use hands and arms to install, position, move and manipulate items;
Ability to climb, balance, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and handle materials;
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;
A valid driver's license is required for this position.
Work Environment :
Position requires sitting and driving for long periods of time.
