Job Summary
The primary function of the service manager is to manage and supervise all aspects of service operation, under the guidance of the store manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
❑ Ensure excellent internal and external customer service and communication
❑ Demonstrate ability to effectively work with a team
❑ Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, monitoring, & evaluating staff
❑ Supervise all service personnel & operations
❑ Ensure & / or demonstrate application of mechanical & computer application expertise
❑ Organize work for efficient & quality operation
❑ Assign tasks, schedule work hours
❑ Monitor inventory levels
❑ Promote/ assist with parts sales
❑ Maintain knowledge of all service processes & equipment
❑ Direct or participate with giving repair estimates
❑ Oversee and/or perform repair work & necessary scheduled maintenance
❑ Ensure neat, clean, attractive appearance & safety of service area
❑ Troubleshoot problems
❑ Provide feedback/ operating reports for store manager
❑ Maintain adherence of policies / procedures
❑ Prompt attendance & neat appearance
❑ Other duties as deemed necessary by the store manager
Requirements:
❑ Valid class A CDL (preferred, not required)
❑ High level of computer literacy
❑ Microsoft Office knowledge/experience
❑ Excellent organizational, scheduling, & communication skills
❑ Excellent leadership & supervisory abilities (ability to lead & supervise several technicians)
❑ Excellent customer/ shop service commitment
❑ Ability to conduct thorough truck inspections & repair functions
