Activities Driver

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Part-Time Activities Driver to join our team at Inlet Coastal Resort. This individual will be responsible for providing safe and courteous transportation for our residents to scheduled activities, appointments, and outings, while fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents through reliable transportation and creating enjoyable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport residents to and from various activities, appointments, and outings, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
• Assist residents in boarding and deboarding the vehicle, offering physical support as needed.
• Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor to enhance the residents' experience.
• Ensure that the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked for outings.
• Communicate effectively with the Activities Director to ensure smooth scheduling and coordination of events.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure the safety of all passengers.
• Assist in preparing residents for activities and outings, including providing reminders and helping with any special needs or accommodations.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, including pick-up and drop-off times, and any relevant details for reporting purposes.
  

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving larger vehicles (such as vans or buses) is a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with older adults in a kind and respectful manner.
• Excellent team-oriented attitude.
• Flexibility to work a part-time schedule,
• Previous experience in a senior care environment or similar role is a plus, but not required.

Work Schedule:

• Part-time position with flexible hours (typically 10-20 hours per week).
