What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Director position at Inlet Coastal Resorts?
We are seeking an Executive Director (ED) with Inlet Coastal Resort (ICR) to serve as the community leader. The Executive Director is responsible for the financial, human resource, and operations management of the community in Murrells Inlet, SC. The objective of the Executive Director is to ensure a warm, compassionate and secure atmosphere encouraging independence and activity for all residents while maintaining fiscally responsible operations.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Responsible for the operation and management of life plan community in accordance with the standards and guidelines of ICR and federal/state/local laws and regulations.
2. Communicates and models a clear customer-focused vision based upon a resident-centered model of support and care.
3. Demonstrates the ability to identify and build relationships within the local area that drives businesses into the community, as well as effectively price services, thereby maximizing top-line revenue growth and achieves appropriate market position.
4. Ensures the community has an effective external business development strategy in place, with clear accountabilities assigned, is able to articulate results, and adjust plans accordingly to maximize referral leads and move-ins.
5. Develops a thorough working knowledge of state regulations, policies and procedures dictated for residents; ensures compliance.
6. Demonstrates a continuing interest in the residents' quality of life by participating in their activities and events, visiting with residents and family members, having an open-door policy for their convenience and, to the extent possible, ensuring that staff and employees do likewise
7. Ensures all resident administrative files are well maintained, current and in compliance with state regulations.
8. Meets the targets related to financial, employee retention, resident satisfaction and quality goals.
9. Functional knowledge of all operating programs including memory care, clinical, dining and social programs.
10. Prepares and adheres to the community budget.
11. Ensures budgeted revenue is achieved or exceeded by maximizing occupancy and room rate.
12. Reviews monthly financial statements, implements plans of action for deficiencies
13. Manages key, non-labor operating costs in line with budgeted levels.
14. Processes and submits monthly expenses and budget data timely per policies and internal business controls.
15. Oversees all departments, maintaining full responsibility for efficient operations and compliance with the financial goals established in the approved Operating Budget.
16. Supports ICR in its overall goal of quality service to the elderly in whatever manner requested.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree in a field related to geriatrics or health care administration.
2. Training and Experience: 3-5 years of management experience in a continuing care retirement community (IL, AL, SNF) is highly preferred. Licensed nursing facility administrator license is required.
3. Certifications/Licenses: Must have a SC Nursing Facility Administrator License. Driver’s License.
4. Job Knowledge: Must have strong financial experience, strong computer skills, and very strong verbal and written communication skills. A desire to work with senior adults paired with the ability to solve complex operational and people problems is also necessary.
