What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at Inlet Health, Inc?
I. Position Overview:
This position may be either exempt or non-exempt from wage and hour regulations. Determination of exemption is based on the prevailing DOL regulations and the employment status of the individual filling the role. If all current exemption standards are met, then the position shall be treated as exempt, otherwise, it will be treated as non-exempt. Employee will be notified of exemption status in either the original letter of employment or via letter indicating change in exemption status. The Accounting Manager position reports directly to the Controller. The position is full-time with a flexible 40 hour per week schedule. S/he is integral to the planning and implementation of all accounting activities of the corporation, under the advice and consent of the Controller. S/he assists the Controller in implementing and representing the financially relevant accounting policies and practices of the corporation.
II. Major Tasks / Responsibilities
A: Fiscal Standards and Compliance Responsibilities
1. Assists Controller to ensure Accounts Payable, grant and contract billing, cash payments and general ledger account reconciliation activities are correctly processed in a timely manner.
2. Plays integral role in preparation and financial oversight of monthly and/or quarterly grant reporting under guidance of Controller.
3. Provides forecasts and assistance to leadership for new grant applications.
4. Assists in the preparation of the annual cost report under the guidance and direction of the Controller.
5. Assists in the preparation of the annual plan and budget for the organization.
6. Assists in the analysis and development of financially viable productivity standards for the organization.
7. Prepares financial analysis on cost accounting and financial feasibility of on-going clinical programs.
8. Prepares and reports to leadership monthly departmental financial statements.
9. Provides and facilitates accurate reports and analysis on financial data and metrics regarding accounts payable and cash flow forecasting.
10. Assists Controller with analysis of data and reports.
11. Conducts FRBH financial practices within sound and generally accepted accounting standards.
12. Oversees the tracking of and accounting for all corporate assets.
13. Assists in making recommendations regarding the accounting activities related to all corporate operations.
14. Assures that all accounting related financial data submission requirements and deadlines are met as directed by the Controller.
15. Oversees and directs the month-end process and assists in preparing monthly financial statements.
16. Assists Controller in yearly financial statement audit preparations and engagements.

B: Planning Responsibilities
1. Reviews, analyzes, and distributes incoming financial information to the corporation that could influence operations or program planning as directed by the Controller/CFO.
2. Analyzes and advises the Controller regarding the financial impact of any anticipated changes in Accounts Payable or other future financially significant events.
3. Analyzes and reports data collection systems that are in place to make all necessary financial planning data available.
4. Examines financial reporting data from the current financial reporting systems and any other data management systems.
C: Personnel Responsibilities
1. Assists the Controller in providing guidance to the CFO on emerging or on-going financial issues that may impact operations.
2. Assists the Controller in the development and implementation of operational policies, administrative procedures, and record keeping practices to enact the FRBH Personnel Policies as intended by the BOD.
D: Miscellaneous Responsibilities
1. Meets productivity standards as assigned.
2. Develops and prepares special reports as assigned.
3. Provides well-grounded advice to the Controller, both proactively and reactively.
4. Accepts other duties as assigned.
III. Minimum Qualifications
A. Bachelor’s degree in an accounting field or Business Administration required
B. At least five (5) years of accounting related experience required
C. One (1) year supervisory experience, preferred
D. Preference given to individuals with experience in a community behavioral health setting
E. Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
F. Must have references which report excellent skills in writing, exercising good judgment, and tact
G. Must pass all required background checks
