Summary

Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome, engage, and assist all showroom customers with a professional and courteous demeanor, ensuring a top-tier shopping experience.
- Guide customers through the selection process, offering expertise on electrical and lighting products to meet their specific needs.
- Accurately process sales transactions, including recording orders into the system and handling payments efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom that reflects professionalism and industry standards.
- Stay up to date with product knowledge, manufacturer updates, pricing, promotions, and industry trends.
- Communicate promptly with the showroom manager regarding customer opportunities, concerns, or any developing issues.
- Ensure that all paperwork and information are accurately shared with warehouse personnel for efficient order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with other Inline Electric Supply branches to check inventory and coordinate stock transfers as needed.
- Occasionally visit job sites or customer locations to assess lighting placements and ensure proper installation.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations as outlined in the Inline Electric Supply Company Safety Handbook.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support showroom operations and business growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients.
- Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret and understand basic electrical plans (preferred but not required).
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with POS systems and inventory tracking software.
- A proactive and team-oriented attitude, eager to learn and grow within the company.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous retail, showroom, or sales experience is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- No history of drug or alcohol abuse.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move around the showroom for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry items weighing 30 lbs. or more.
- Ability to push, pull, grasp, and reach as needed to organize and showcase products.
- Strong visual acuity for assessing products and showroom presentation.
- Comfortable working in a physically active environment.
