We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Control Support Specialist to assist with the bagging, counting, and stocking of inventory. This position plays a vital role in maintaining an organized, efficient, and well-stocked inventory system by helping to manage and sort parts for stocking. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling metal parts, small parts, and some larger items while maintaining accuracy and ensuring the timely movement of products.
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities:
- Bagging and Sorting: Assist in bagging parts, ensuring each part is correctly identified and appropriately packaged for stocking.
- Inventory Counting: Accurately count and sort parts for stocking, ensuring proper quantities are maintained in inventory records.
- Stocking: Stock inventory items in designated locations while maintaining organization and accessibility.
- Part Handling: Safely handle a variety of parts, including metal, small, and larger components, while following all safety guidelines.
- Physical Requirements: Lift and move products, with 90% of items weighing 5 lbs or less, while ensuring proper lifting techniques to minimize strain and injury.
- Quality Control: Ensure all items are free from damage and meet quality standards before they are bagged and stocked.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory control, stocking, or warehouse environments is a plus.
- Basic understanding of inventory management software or systems is a plus.
Work Environment: This position will be performed in a warehouse or stockroom setting, which may require standing for extended periods.
