Pay Rate : $ 16 / hr

Schedule : Monday - Friday Hours : 6 : 00 am - 2 : 30 pm

Mandatory overtime is determined by business needs and may require additional hours during the regular schedule, as well as availability on weekends.

Dress Code : Casual attire is acceptable but must be within company guidelines. Closed toed shoes are required.

Position Summary :

Under direct supervision and working within a cage or secured area, a Controlled Substance Processor in warehouse operations is responsible for processing returned / recalled pharmaceuticals on behalf of a retailer or manufacturer. The shipment received for processing may contain both controlled substance items and non-controlled items. The Controlled Substance Processor is responsible for accurately and efficiently identifying the items and ensuring they are processed appropriately.

The Controlled Substance Processor position requires high attention to detail and ability to operate technology such as barcode scanners, digital scales, software applications, and touch screen computers and the ability read, understand and follow standard operating procedures specific to this position.

Primary Accountabilities :

Efficiently and accurately capture item information, using scanning equipment, for input of information into computerized systems
Determine whether the item is a non-controlled substance, a Class 2 (CII) substance or a Class 3-5 (CIII-V) substance for sorting purposes
Visually identify and verify key product information, then count, measure or weigh the item and enter information into computerized systems
For Class 2 (CII) items, complete form 222 within the system, noting the quantity and date processed
Sort scanned items into appropriate container locations
Inspect condition of product and prepare for disposition in accordance with client contract terms
Always maintain a clean and orderly workstation and area

Additional Responsibilities :

Performs other duties as assigned

Complies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications :

High School diploma (or its equivalent) required

1-3 years minimum of two year's work experience in a warehouse or production job; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the responsibilities of this position required

Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Working knowledge of computers

Able to follow standard operation and safety procedures

Able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled

Able to work under time pressure and meet production goals; able to work more than 8 hours per day (over-time) as needed

Able to assist with other operations within the warehouse, as needed

Able to handle hazardous waste materials with appropriate safety measures
