What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operational ERP Coordinator position at Inmotion?
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Operational ERP Coordinator reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the management and administrative tasks required to shepherd production orders efficiently and accurately through the ERP processes. A solid understanding of production concepts and procedures applicable to the manufacturing industry is required. Primary responsibility is to manage production orders from activation through completion, ensuring accurate component and semi-finished good backflushing and finished good output.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understands and reviews production capabilities and capacity.
- Monitors the initiation of production orders in the production dashboard system
- Follows production closely to monitor actual output versus system output
- Ensures accurate component and semi-finished materials backflush
- Monitors for and efficiently clears errors blocking any of the above activities
- Monitors closely the introduction of new models to ensure error-free system execution and confirm proper BOM setup
- Works closely with master scheduler to ensure available production orders for all upcoming production needs
- Adjusts, as necessary, standard and updated work orders to match production needs
- Assigns previously finished goods to applicable work orders, where needed
- Monitors output of quality-flagged units and reintroduction into the production environment after usage decision
- Learns the basics of the master scheduler function to serve as a backup to these responsibilities
- Documents Operational ERP Coordinator processes and trains other users as necessary
- Streamlining of the coordination process with continuous improvements and recommendations

- Knowledge and experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant field
- Working knowledge of Lean SCM tools
- Expert knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Have at least 5 years manufacturing experience in Operations, Planning / Customer Service or equivalent.
- Advanced understanding of manufacturing processes and MRP systems
- Knowledge of purchasing/accounting processes
