What are the responsibilities and job description for the Culinary Director position at Inn at the Pines?
Inn at the Pines Assisted Living and Memory Care is located in Hiram, OH. We are currently in search of a compassionate, motivated individual to join our team of healthcare professionals in the role of Culinary Director

The role of Culinary Director includes, but is not limited to:
- Interview, hire, train and schedule the dietary staff to adequately meet the needs of the operations on a monthly basis. Be available for call offs, finding coverage or stepping in to fill the shift as necessary.
- Promote employee relations while directly supervising the dietary staff through feedback and positive reinforcement. Educate and discipline as necessary.
- Create and monitor compliance with cleaning and sanitation policies, procedures and protocols for the dietary department. Assist with cleaning as necessary.
- Monitor the preparation of the food to assure resident satisfaction, including presentation and taste. Assist with preparation of the food as necessary.
- Meet with residents to assist in the further development of specialty meals. Be creative in menu items while following required guidelines.
- Order food, beverages and supplies for the dietary department while staying within the established budgetary constraints, following the daily PPD.
- Conduct a weekly "Culinary Creations" activity with the residents.
- Follow the approved dietician created menus while adjusting for our resident's unique preferences.
- Work with the Director of Wellness and the Dietician for special diets or textures.
- Be a member of the Leadership Team who commits to assist other departments and co-workers as necessary. We commit to lead by example, and hold ourselves to the high standards we expect of our staff.
